Kashi cereal

I know most nutrition sites and books warn against cereal, but this stuff is tasty and very nutritious. The ingredients are pretty much all natural too.

Per serving (1 cup)

140 calories
1g fat (0 saturated)
30g carbs (10g of which are fiber! only 6g sugar)
13g protein

IIRC...the protein in this comes from soy which is no bueno.

Ya protein in cereal is almost always going to be cheap and/or not-so-great stuff.

it turns you into a women...

i think it is also not a complete protein...which means its missing some of the amino acids found in animal/whey type proteins...

do a google search and you can find lots of papers/articles on soy...

Not true, that's one reason why vegetarians love it so much.

Nice elaboration. Are there any studies done that support this? Link plz.

Please keep in mind that we would like an unbiased source to have run this study.

Note: Most of the soy grown in this nation is fed to cows, sheep, and pigs, which people then eat. Has anyone studied biological magnification? I guess if the estrogenic effects of soy were true, eating beef or animal source proteins would be even worse.

"Do a google search" isn't good enough. This is a frustrating thing about nutrition. If there is a consensus on this in published peer reviewed journals it ought to be apparent to the nonspecialist who shows a modicum of interest.
