I think this can only make sense if he has a very high 2nd barrel frequency with both air and draws. And in that case the flop call is even worse than it would be normally.

i think what he s trying to say, is that the board doesnt hit many hands and if we only call with pairs when he bets little more than half pot, we re folding very often here. i think occasionally making moves on such boards is necessary.

[/ QUOTE ] my fault, should be "if you're ever going to float the flop there's basically no way you can wait for a gutshot to do it with." i guess you're saying you never c/c though, so you don't have to worry about floating air. what do you usually do with a marginal ace on this board then? lead is bad because you don't get the free money from cbet and c/r bloats the pot. |
