Re: The way to the WSOP for nothing ?!?
I don't believe you can get the same for the main-event.
With the way Stars is set-up, it would appear that their WSOP package might take 250k raked-hands or so (depending on how quickly you reach super-nova and where they set the price). So 160k raked hands (of only 0.3 minimum) for $10k seat isn't really that bad an offer. But I'm not sure the game-selection is too fantastic there either. And obviously it's tough to get in all those hands before the end of the month. I would have to go back and check the prices...but I suspect you are correct that Stars-VIP might be better for the smaller events. 60k hands for a $1k seat (perhaps $2.5k value package) doesn't strike me as an amazing deal. |

Are US players eligible? [/ QUOTE ] 1) It starts March 1 at 00:00 Central European time. Which is Feb. 28 - 18:00 EST. 2) Yes, it is open for US residents 3) Yes, you will also get your monthly VIP CashBack. Problems you will run into: a) if you play limit, the games become very sparse after 7 pm EST b) You can play as many tables as you wish, but you cannot move tables between two monitors – because of the Java Applet. Things I have encountered at 24h: a) It is Poker Tracker capable b) It is not Poker ACE HUD compatible c) You can right click on your empty screen on the desktop – select properties and choose the change the other screen to be primary. This allows you to open 8 tables on two different screens. Note: Open 4 tables, change primary screens, then any tables opened after that go to the other monitor. d) Raked hands of .30 or more count toward VIP points. Some how though - and I cannot figure it out yet – I played about 450 total hands last night and I have 600 VIP points – so I am not too sure about the calculations. e) The games play extremely fast when you turn off all the animation. It auto posts blinds for you and when a person bets, posts, etc, it says it over their name. i.e. You will see: “Big B” over some ones name and/or you will see “raise (2)” f) They have a sound option that annoys me, but is extremely useful when playing many tables there g) You cannot see where the person is from, or if you have notes on the person unless you click on them. h) The Omaha games are more frequent than the OH8 games. & They have 5 card draw!!! i) Tables and Lobby can go gray. It is a Java glitch, just min/max the window and it refreshes. Does anyone know who to write a program that allows you to change primary screens or fixes the 4 table problem? I’ll post more as I play there more. |

Re: The way to the WSOP for nothing ?!?
well, you can play martins poker for $1000 bonus for ~4000 pts, and sensepoker (?) for $1200 bonus for 9000 vip points.
All on the same network. Pretty close to the $2500 package for 12k points. (dont know if martins poker still has the bonus, but sensepoker does) |

Re: The way to the WSOP for nothing ?!?
There is a site giving away 2 wsop seats for free. They are basing the play on their play money tables. No raked hands involved. I'm not divulging the info as I'm shooting for the seats. Just thought I'd rub it in your faces, ha ha ha ha.

Re: The way to the WSOP for nothing ?!?
May want to reread the original post. The promo is offered by 24hPoker, not Martins or Sense.
Also, the $2500 package is 120k pts, not 12k. |

[/ QUOTE ] Dude, you're totally misreading what the guy said. He said that INSTEAD of putting all your play on 24h for their promotion, you could take advantage of the deposit bonus at Martin's and Sense and come up with 2200$ for a significantly lower point total, which in comparison, is almost the same value as one of the smaller packages. End translation. |
