Poker Stars
Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.02/$0.05 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero calls, UTG+1 (poster) checks, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls, BB raises to $0.3, Hero calls, 2 folds, Button calls, SB calls. Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($1.3, 4 players) SB checks, BB bets $0.3, Hero calls, 2 folds. Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($1.9, 2 players) BB checks, Hero checks. River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($1.9, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $1, BB calls. Results: Final pot: $3.9 Interested in hearing thoughts specifically on pre-flop play. I'm still trying to understand starting hand strength vis a vis position. My intuition is that this is a pretty strong starting hand, despite being unsuited, and I at least have position on the PFR. With 11 outs to the nuts (4 aces, 4 8's, 3 9's) and a bunch more outs to other straights, should I be raising the flop? Check behind on the river since the board paired on the turn? |

Re: .02 / .05 - Newb linecheck
preflop ok, this hand is good, even in UTG
flop you are in position and have top pair and they shown a weakness - pot it turn check is ok but you may bluff right there and win in in about 70% of situations value bet is rather ok |
