for me, i got mine done when i was 17 and im 31 now and there have been no problems at all since.

as for recovery: yea, i mean, it was pretty painful, but just stay hopped up on pain pills (might want to get some before the surgery from an "outside" source in case yr dr doesnt rx you enough). plus, i had to sleep pretty much straight up so that i wouldnt roll on my nose and muck the whole thing up. there mightve been some vomitting of dried blood as well. regardless, its worth it if its causing you some loss of breathing.
