Re: Hey Fossilman what do you think?

You would not sue the cardroom and there would be no damages. You would sue the state in some form of declaratory action asking the court to give you the proper interpretation of the statue.

Hey Fossilman what do you think?

Florida statute 849.086 was recently amended to provide that:

"A cardroom operator may conduct games of Texas hold-em without betting limit if the required player buy-in is no more than $100."

Re: Well, Florida, how did the first day of NL/$5limit games treat you

Sorry, they allow smoking away from the tables. It is generally not too bad.

Re: Well, Florida, how did the first day of NL/$5limit games treat you

The spread a 2/5 NL with $100 min and 300 max buyin. On Friday and Saturday nights they also spread a 5/10 NL with $300 min and $600 max buyin.

The small NL is generally weak-tight. The big NL...

Re: Well, Florida, how did the first day of NL/$5limit games treat you

Played my first 2/4 Omaha session at the Tampa HR. It was like x-mas come early. Made $450 in 6 hrs. Most of the players had no clue. At least 8 times 10 saw the flop after a raise (yikes).

Re: Your best game vs. your actual game

Also I meant $250 in 4 hours or $62.50 per hour.

Re: Your best game vs. your actual game

Sorry, I was not clear. I meant a 2/5NL game with $100-300 buy-in. It is the standard game on the Suncruz boat out of Cape Canaveral.

Your best game vs. your actual game

I win on average about $250 per four hour session in a live 100-300NL. In that time I make about $50 worth of dumb mistakes (i.e. cb into dagerous flop). So I quess I play about 80% of my best...

Re: How to handle a check-raise on the Flop

What do you all think about checking behind if no face card or ace on flop . . . but Cbet if face card or ace?

Re: How to handle a check-raise on the Flop

I do not necessarily disagree with your answer. However, I know your not suggesting that I check every time that I am heads-up and it is checked to me or that I fold everytime I have been...

How to handle a check-raise on the Flop

2-5 No limit. I have $900. Villain has $500. Villain is loose aggressive and likes to see flops even with marginal hands. I raise from UTG with AQo to $20. It is folded around to Villain in the...

Re: Florida??

I play on the Suncruz boat out of Cape Canaveral. There are only two games with any real players. The 10-20 round and round and the 5-10 NL. The only real disadvantage is that the trips are short,...

TTH V6 Win Rate

What is a reasonable win rate vs. the automatic advisor in TTH V6? How many 200 hand challenges should be taken to get reasonable indication of your long term win rate?

Re: Adjustment to Mid Stakes

Only about 60 or so of 10-20, and some of that has been 10-20 1 round of holdem and 1 of omaha (sometimes they cannot get enough players for a strickly holdem game). Now that I think about it I seem...

Re: Adjustment to Mid Stakes

You are probably right about sample size being too small. I play about 2 1/2 times a month on average. So over two year, I have logged about 60 sessions of 5-10. With the money won at 5-10, I have...

Re: Adjustment to Mid Stakes

Yeah I know it sounds high but: (1) its more like 44 an hr since its 4 1/2 long; and (2)you would not believe the number of times I would get called to the river by 2 or 3 players who could not beat...

Adjustment to Mid Stakes

I have been playing 5-10 holdem for about two years on the SunCruz boat out of Cape Canaveral. On average I win about $200 on a 4 1/2 session using the Miller book. Over the last 4 months I have...
