Re: 400 3betpot topset fancy or dumb ?!

Whatever you do in this spot will get the money in. It seems like he has a hand that he likes given flop call, and the worst hand he could have here is basically AJ (he's the PFR, so the assumption...

Re: 400 bet , 3bet push with A high flushdraw ?

Here comes some math.
Assuming you have 25% equity, let's see what FE we need to make the push correct.
208*x + (1-x)(0.25*483-0.75*355)>0
208x + 145.5x - 145.5 >0
353x - 145.5>0

Re: Is this a reasonable hand range?

I'd add 88 & QKhh and remove 75s
edit: i guess you have QKhh, keep 75s =)

Re: 3/6 DEEP, turn a J high flush, facing a shove...WTF!

the raise size is not huge, it's only 3 times your turn bet. You could be folding here had the raise been 5times your bet, but for that good a price, I don't see how I could fold against that donk.

Re: 10/20, KK v River Checkraise

Pot Odds: 2 to1, we need to win 30% of the time

Would he not c/r a FD with overcards on the flop? If he does have a FD,I wouldn't expect
him to c/r AI river with a busted FD more than 20% of the...

Re: TPTK Paired board

You learn the basics at nl2, but you just can't give credits to your opponents. I think you're not in such bad shape most of the time. But don't expect to learn more than the rules at these stakes.

Re: nl200 wii semibluff checkriase allin

Quick math:
Your equity against a very narrowed range (no bluffing hands, which you should definitely consider, but for the purpose of the math, let's see the worst case scenario)
villain's best...

Re: kotkis vs. Morrek, 10/20 200xBB deep

Morrek has to represent the ace here if he believes he can make you fold QQ, and he knows that you don't want to bluff raise him as if he folds, your hand will be shown at showdown against CO. So I...

Re: Ak gets agression from wrong Villain

Are you making fun of yourself or are you really not able to spot the irony...

Getting 2.25to1 on the call, we need to win 30% of the time to reach the break even point.
I don't really see how...

Re: aa 300bb

Opponent's range : {KK-TT,77,AJs,KcQc,JTs,9c8c,AJo}
PokerStove Equity against that range : 60%
Pot odds: 2to1, 33%
-> Call

Let's assign some % to opponent's range:
AJ : 25%
JT : 20%
QcKc or...

Re: AK in such an ugly spot

A fish like him has KJ here 90% of the time, 10% JJ. This is a quick fold.

Re: NL200 - AA 300bb deep vrs. good player

it wasn't the right time to mix it up with a flop check... the most likely hand for villain here is set of queens/jacks, AJ/AQ and QJ being pretty unlikely...

Your hand isn't in great shape as you...

Re: I love my hand but.... nl200

[ QUOTE ]

Maybe not, but even if we assume he has {KK+,AKs,KQs,AKo,KQo} we're still ahead. So we'd want to get it in as soon as possible before another diamond kills our action.

Re: I love my hand but.... nl200

It seems that the hand converted messed up the HH. (it says you are BB and still act first pf, BTN act first on the flop...?)

You are only 100bb deep, I guess I would play this hand for stacks...

Re: I fold a boat - nl200

I advocate never donk betting the flop against a TAG. He's going to cbet this flop most of the time, so go for a standard check/raise ~$40. I don't like checking the turn, as villain could check...

Re: Mid set with 33; could this be a fold?

Good point donkeykong /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Pot odds are so good you can do nothing here but call anyway.

Re: Calls

[ QUOTE ]
Thanks for the good reply, do I really need 44%? Figured it would be around 30%.

[/ QUOTE ]

You gotta work on poker math for a bit. You need 33% equity when villain pots it, 25%...

Re: Mid set with 33; could this be a fold?

Shoving the river is like the worst advice ever. This is a pretty easy c/c. You extracted close to the maximum if you're ahead and lost the minimum when behind.

Re: Time for a blccking bet?

How small do you want the blocking bet to be ? With the jack pairing I think you should bet 13-15 here, not less. If it gets called c/f river. (missed flush draws aren't going to bluff often in that...

Re: Passive KK against tags...

I like your line a lot, very nice for mixing up your play. If you have him beat I think you extracted the most out of him by letting him bluff, and lost the minimum if you're actually beat.

Edit :...

Re: Mid set with 33; could this be a fold?

Given villain's stats the only hand that he could have that beats you here is JJJ. Raising 5xBB right after the utg poster shows a lot of strength from such a tight opponent, I don't see how he...

Re: H. has IDEA - H. needs proper BETSIZE

Not sure I like the turn bet size... I think it gets bluffed raised quite often by a tricky player, and you allow any jack to make an almost no brainer call... This is one of the few spots where you...

Re: AA paired board

I would bet again. I think you want to keep leading because it makes it really harder for Villain to bluff you, whereas if you check, it is such a great spot for him and he's going to bet here most...

Re: Flush vs a fish - 100NL DEEP

First basic question, do you want to play for 200BB with a J high flush ?
If yes you definitely have to reraise that turn (80-90)
If you flat call, being OOP you'll probably have to check if a...

Re: Flopped set, extracting value

1st option : raise to 60. you guys are deepstacked, so it gets obviously harder to know whether villain wants to stack off here on a FD or AQ, but give it a try (most +EV line if villain is very...
