How do you stay disciplined and motivated?

First, guess: am I asking the above question after having a winning session or a losing session?

I would just like to hear from other's about how you stay focused on your game. How do you stay...

Re: when to start considering withdrawing money?

I keep my roll at an amount where my chances of going broke are low, about 600BB (some people choose more or less, there's some complicated math about it you can look up somewhere). So right now I am...

Re: Dealing with LAGs

[ QUOTE ]
Take free cards when I can get them

[/ QUOTE ]

Personally, if a LAG gives me a free card then I just fold the next street b/c he obviously has the nuts.

Seriously, it is good...

big draw play?

MP is a maniac (73/56/5) and playing insanely. CO seems to be playing reactively to MP by coldcalling loosely preflop and showing down and winning with lots of A highs.

I am curious for feedback...

Re: overplay nut flush on river?

Thanks, guys. I continuation bet all the time and obviously it's a leak in my game. My husband said this morning that I picked it up from him, and he forget to tell me when he figured out it wasn't a...

overplay nut flush on river?

Villian is unknown. Wasn't sure if capping the river was overplay on paired board. What do you guys think?

does this ever happen to any of you?

often after I reach a major poker goal, like climbing my way out of a losing streak or making a nice cashout, i proceed to lose, lose, lose! (then later i...

KK in huge pot vs. Lpp\'s

Button tends to be loose and passive (63/12). Button is also unpredictable, trying to make a lot of plays on the turn (bluff or semi bluff raise). CO is loose as well (60/20). Due to these players...

Re: overplayed two pair turns into boat and overplays again?

I would definitely cap the river here. If you're beat, well, that's simply unfortunate! It's far more likely that you're ahead. This guy could truly have anything, so I would want to get the max...

Re: How to play KQo in these situations?

a) for me, this definitely depends on what i know of the preflop raiser as well. if he's aggressive and overplaying lots of hands preflop, i will three bet here to get a chance at being HU and to...

Re: JJ overpair in blind battle. Nit raises flop. Donks turn.

I think betting for value is great here. I'm not sure what the villian thinks of you, but I often make the mistake of thinking that people are just messing with me heads up in the blinds. It's tough...

Re: 5/10 Bad fold?

i think i'll be holding my nose with pankwindu. getting to the river with this hand, there is a good chance i'm beat, but i too think it's worthwhile to call here, especially since i don't have a...

Re: KQo BB facing a trebet??? 2/4

between the CO, button, and sb, i think it's just too likely that you are dominated here. i'd let it go. even if you hit your hand, there's a good chance that it won't be good. unless, of course,...

Re: 2/4: Should I try to move this guy off overcards?

I try for this pot. You're heads up, Villian took the lead preflop, so I am not surprised that he's betting out the flop here. He could be 3 betting preflop with a range of hands, don't assume you're...
