Anyone want to play a $215 pot limit omaha tourney this Saturday?

I qualified for this 100k guaranteed omaha tourney on fulltilt but unfortunately cannot play. I will offer a 50/50 split.

I don't post regularly but Foucault can vouch for me (see my post earlier...

Re: Simple Blind Battle River Question

You really think he calls 100 with just a pair of Jacks and the ace of spades? If yes, I suppose a bet is probably more profitable, but it seems unlikely to me, especially given that he has woken up...

Re: Simple Blind Battle River Question

So bored at work that I'm looking at your posts:-)

If he tends to get agro with medium strength hands isn't it likely he would raise a Queen, two pair, or a set on the flop or turn? Seems more...

Re: Learning to Take Notes

I try to pay attention to whether they are apt to ever bluff, and this doesn't have to be a situation where they get caught. It could be one where they fire 2 barrels and then give up to a weak rive...

Re: Overbetting all in with a busted draw 2-4nl

I usually hate betting the busted draw too but at 2-4, while there is some pf aggression and a lot of c-bets, I really don't see many people overbetting all-in often (for close to a buy-in) with a...

Overbetting all in with a busted draw 2-4nl

Sorry no stats or clear info as I'm at work. I am mainly interested in the river push given the situation, though other comments are welcome.

2-4nl on party 6mx. Villian has 400 and I cover. I...

Re: results.

I like the way you played it. If you are three betting PF relatively light (say with a decent range of PP's) and like most players who miss the flop c-betting and then giving up after resistance...

Re: From one 2nd nut to the next....(300-350BB deep)

PF I think you should raise more than 5x if there are 3 limpers in the hand. I bet you would with a big pocket pair, so you should now too in order to isolate and make your range less clear. And...

Re: 1000NL turned top two on paired board

I agree this is definitely WA/WB and unless you have strong reads on how he plays trips you definitely don't want to get check raised hoping to gain some very thin value from a bluff or worse ace. ...

Re: 2/4NL: please tell me this is a good fold

Very draw heavy board, plus he could have AK as well. Not sure I like such a weak approach where you bet and give up on a blank turn. Very weak tight.

Lots of loose players will call 30 more...

Question on re-raising rules in NL

I've heard various opinoins and would like something definitive as I run a home game. If one player bets and another pushes, does his push have to be equal to twice the initial bet to reopen the...

Re: Lucky Louie

I completely agree that this is a brilliant and very funny show though I've been surprised that many of my friends who enjoy shows like Seinfeld aren't that impressed. I have also found that people...

Re: Build side pot or just push- stack sizes make it interesting?

I agree. Few players at these stakes fold an overpair here, especially on such a draw heavy board. There are a lot of potential scare cards for hands like JJ on turn though so get it in now.

3-betting post flop

I play pretty aggressively PF, raising and reraising with position frequently, but I feel like every time I 3-bet the flop, I either have a very big hand or an obvious draw. If there is no draw on...

2-5nl second nuts with 600bb insta-push?

This may be an absurdly easy insta-push, but I'm not accustomed to such deep stack poker so let me hear your thoughts.

Full ring at foxwoods 2-5 500nl. I have 3k as does another guy. He seems...

Re: 5/10 NL live and deep, play along

And don't forget the backdoor straight draw! I wonder how many outs that is against a set, excluding the flush cards. .5?

Re: 5/10 NL live and deep, play along

I honestly think his range here is a set, AK or AA. Depending on your read (also largely based on his betting patterns) you have to shove or fold. If he is any good he'll fold AA and AK (which you...

Re: 2-5nl NY-Stupid results oriented idea or crafty bluff inducer?

Shoota-Not sure how this is spewing. ABC poker works well against mediocre online players but against thinking players there are often a lot of thin calls to make.

Perhaps you misunderstood. I...

Re: flopped set, unraised pot . . . standard yes?

There is no way you should either reevaluate on the river or fold. Get the money in now as he may have a double draw or a pair and a draw. If he has a straight, oh well, hopefully you'll fill up. ...

2-5nl NY-Stupid results oriented idea or crafty bluff inducer?

I was playing full ring 2-5nl 600max at a club in NY, with a mix of players, several bad, sever decent, and one very good agro player who often plays higher stakes and doesn't take 2-5 too seriously....

Re: $1/$2 NL, $300 max: Brilliant? Unethical? Wow, strangest hand e

I've definitely played in places where the rule is what I stated for NL, though nobody ever seemed confident. I believe this is the case at Foxwoods.

Couldn't find much after very brief google...

Re: $1/$2 NL, $300 max: Brilliant? Unethical? Wow, strangest hand ever.

Typically if a player is all-in he only has to raise more than half the initial bet for it to be considered a valid raise.
