Re: AJs - river decision

[ QUOTE ]
If you give a tight range like TT+/AQ+ then you are behind to everything but TT.

Bodog (crap! avoid!)

[/ QUOTE ]

Huh? I find Bodog to be extremely soft. I'm playing mainly 2/4 and 3/6 these days... but even when I play .50/1 or 1/2 because there are no open...

Re: UB 2/4 - Trips from the BB, no kicker

Bet the river.

A number of busted flush draws could be calling up until this point. Smaller pocket pairs that don't think the king is out there might call the river.

The case king might be out...

3/6: AJs from early position

I'm curious what the consensus is on this play (sorry, I don't have a hand history). I was the MP re-raiser but action being questioned is SB's.

3/6 Bodog, 10 player room. Loose.

You are small...

.50/1 multi-way pocket J redraw

Reads on villains: (unknowns, only a couple orbits in)
BB - 25 hands, 44/0/2.83
UTG - 8 hands, 62.5/10/0.67

Does a value raise on the river make sense here after my pocket J's turned into a...

(2) If you're in a downswing, and cards are "running bad" would there be any difference between how you would play good flops versus when the cards are "running good?"

Re: AJo - do I continue?

*grunch*

I'm fine with the pre-flop raise.

I just call the flop, fold to a raise, and reevalute on the turn.

If he has the 6, you're drawing almost dead. If BB has a 4 or other pocket pair,...

Re: AQo - c/r flop, whyyy?

A tight player cold calling from SB. Sounds like AT, KT, or medium pocket pair to me. Definitely raise the turn... if he has just top pair, he might be scared of you having the flush.

His PFR is...

Re: turn play on 4 card straight board with 2 pair

Yeah, looking back, it probably wasn't a good decision to cold call the first time. In the heat of the moment, I really didn't think I'd see the re-raise. I agree that once I went in for 2 BB, I...

Re: Varying your play - Profitable turn?

I dislike every street. The turn raise is spew. UTG+1 has bet into you twice now after your raise. Why do you think you're still ahead? And then, after all that, you still bet out the river with 2...
