Re: 98s unk
I don't raise here PF; my main reason for not raising is so that my steal-raises get more respect (so probably for same reason as sethypooh). I normally bet this turn, but when I do, I'm quite happy...

Re: Playing small pairs?
passive table: I usually call for set value (esp if the table is also loose) -- I think that the implied odds are clearly there, especially since it's fairly easy to play this hand nearly perfectly...

Re: 3/6 live- when to dump AA check up
It's pretty hard to make a EV- move pf holding AA, but some moves with AA are MORE EV+ than others...
Anyway, a couple of comments: calling AA the 'nuts' pf is true, but probably not what was...

Re: River - Bet or Check?
How did you respond to his aggresion in the past? If you folded, then he might be trying it again. If you showed down a worse hand in the past then we have a different story. And if you called or...

Re: 2/4 river decision:
Well, with no reads this is hard, but if villain is a decent player, he probably calls mostly if you are beat. *Maybe* a 7 with a good kicker calls if he is the suspicious type, and *maybe* 88 or 99...

Re: Eh River Decision
I would consider betting the turn here, which would possibly make the river easier to play. But on the river I'd fold. Curiosity/paying for info is irrelevant because there has already been a call,...

Re: LO.50/1 How horrible is the post flop play?
In a slightly tighter game, I don't always raise pf here from EP (though after a few callers, yes), because with this hand you want customers to pad the pot. If you are suited, then this play (i.e.,...

Also, hands like AAKQ and AAJ10 go down in value as the blind structure gets higher, IMO.

This seems counterintuitive! From what I have observed, Hi pairs...

Re: how are you playing this hand UTG?
As a wise man once said "It is better to be loved than feared in Omaha Hi/Lo." Limp. Create love. (You might create even more love is you raised, but that's a losing play IMO. Limping is probably...

Re: 2/4 LO8 Loose flop calls? River raise?
Given your description of the players, I agree with trying to get a lot of money in the pot there, and probably I'd go for the C/R to do it. But you have to be pretty darned sure about the way they...

Also, a straight isn't possible on the turn, so you shouldn't be afraid of it.

Hmm. You're right, of course. I *recall* being afraid of a straight. I was playing 4...

Re: Lo8 .02/.04 a hand from my first session
Answer to main question: this is a calling if not raising hand at any limit that I've ever played (up to 5/10 on line and 10/20 B&M. (In EP not a raising hand because you want others in the pot in...

Re: LO8 .5/1 Hand - C/R on river?
Well, I won't argue about whether my C/R attempt on the river was bad -- that was my original question, after all, and you provided an opinion. So thanks.
But I definitely disagree that you can't...
