Re: Is this a standard play at NL25?
You're calling about $24 to win about $43 on what is pretty clearly a draw. Unless villian is a complete maniac, there's a good chance you only have 7 outs, and if villian has a set he's got lots of...

1/2 Live - A good River?
Villian has been at the table for about an hour. He's not the worst player I've ever seen but he seems to be a bit of a calling station. I have not seen him raise PF, and I've only really seen him...

Flopped Top Two - How\'d I do? Another basic hand.
I don't think I like the way I played this hand. Should I raise preflop? Should I raise the river? Otherwise are bet sizes okay?
Villians all seem very loose and moderately aggressive before...

Is the "highest" flush still the nut flush if a straight flush is possible?

You're probably a slight underdog. Possibly a huge underdog. There is no dead money in the pot. Fold.

Re: 50NL rivered flush, strange villain bet
I'm assuming you're looking for feedback on whether to push or call. So I'll take a shot, for what it's worth (very little, I know, but this is more for my education than yours).
In any case, I...

Re: Firing a third barrel...do you call a raise with VERY marginal han
Without some kind of crazy read, here is how I am playing this hand:
Preflop: raise to 1 or 1.25
Flop: bet pot
After he calls: stop putting money in the pot

Re: NL 25 2 pair with very deep stacks.
I'm a puss, but I would strongly consider going into calldown mode after his reraise. It will give him a chance to bet some weaker hands.
As played, you're probably beat, and you never gave...

I would definitely call this and then spend the next 15 minutes steaming about how poorly villian played his hand if I lost.
A 3 is highly unlikely (though not impossible at these stakes). A 5 is...

Villian is 23/8/1 after 45 hands. He thought for almost a full minute before calling my flop raise. I didn't see any point in betting the turn. Should I have gone 1/2 pot on the river?

Overpair faces push on blank turn
Villian is 28/6/1.3 after only 15 hands. I had just played a weird JJ hand in which I checked down a winner after getting called on the flop. Don't know if that should be a consideration.
What...

Re: Help me! I can\'t play when I have more than 100BBs! - flopped flush
I'll take a stab, although I agree that this is a really awkward spot.
Why no reraise on the flop? AK, AA, KK & JJ, are all smack dab in the middle of villians range and they all mean he doesn't...

Re: 25 NL: Folding overpair JJ
How could you fold to anything after raising to $21? Villian would only have $14 left and the pot would be over $60. You'd be getting better than 4.5-1.
Edited twice because I can't freakin add.

Re: 25 NL: Folding overpair JJ
This is a rough spot.
I think you could make decent arguments for either a push or a fold to his initial flop bet. The problem with calling or minraising is that the pot is getting so big that it...

The SB is an unknown. He bought in short less than an orbit ago. Villian is 15/6/2 after about 130 hands.

Overpair raised on a wet flop - push or fold?
Villian is 20/10 after 30 hands. Nothing else to note except about an orbit ago, I folded to a push after cbetting TT on a K high flop. Don't know if that should be a consideration or not.
