Re: South Park starts up again tonight 10/3
Personally I think the last 5-6 seasons have been the best of the entire series. I may be in the minority but I find the social commentary & satire to be by far the best parts of the show.

Re: Most overrated games ever
The old PC adventure games. Myst, 7th Guest, and the like.
Those games were grotesquely popular and I just HATED all of them.

Re: The Legend of Zelda Thread (NES)
The ability to pick up the swords has nothing to do with which castles you've beaten. It is determined by how many heart containers you have. I believe the White Sword needs 5 or 6 containers. I...

Re: QQ in too deep?
I was new to the table so I really didn't have any reads on any of the players yet. Interesting to hear that my play was correct, because initially I liked it and then I didn't care for it too much...

QQ in too deep?
I played this hand on party poker and I think this is one of my biggest leaks. I looked at it as a $43 into a $170 pot, so I only need to be good 1 in 4 times for this to be profitable, but I'm not...

Re: Full Ring or 6-Max
I find that I win at a MUCH higher rate in 6-max. I like to bet, and that seems to be more profitable in 6-max play.

Re: Overplays trips vs. uncertain

. But I really wondered, what, beyond 55, the case K, or the flush draw could be calling.

I would say that A5, AA, QQ, and JJ could all be played to the same line by many...

Re: Pocket 5s against pre-flop raise
[ QUOTE ]
I would have bet the same on the flop, but about 30 on the turn, calling a push of course.
Please don't say this is a bad beat post with KQ or AA.

I see a lot of...

Pocket 5s against pre-flop raise
I'm just curious how you guys play little pocket pairs to a raise, and what your reaction is after flopping a set. How's my line on this hand? Same as most of you would do?

Re: bottom two, coordinated flop?
I am oftentimes over aggressive, but I will say that I would open the betting for $1.50 instead of $.75 It probably doesn't make a difference in this situation as you're likely beaten and still...

Re: SSNL Vegas Boondoggle- Anyone Interested
You guys make me wanna go back to Vegas!
I was there right before Thanksgiving and stayed at MGM. The hotel experience was nothing special (but it was pricey). I did love their pokerroom though.

Re: TPTK against all in on turn?
Thanks for the advice guys, it can only help solidify my game in the future. FWIW, this particular player had pocket Aces and I was obviously dominated throughout the entire hand.

Re: Overplay AQ with TPTK?
Thanks for the confirmation. Villain actually had JJ, so I did at least have some outs. Shouldn't have put "overplay" in the title, I guess. I didn't hit and lost, but when I went back to re-think...

When a player cold calls a good sized bet on a JJ9 flop bells should start to go off in your head-- he's either got a jack or QT. The king looks like a good card but it really isn't; it...

TPTK against all in on turn?
Typical play with AK. I raised, then continuation bet. Then after hitting my TP I have no choice but to call this turn bet, right? Or are the 2 jacks scary enough that I can lay this down?

Re: AJ as TPTK on very scary board
I like the preflop play, and I like the flop play as well. I don't like checking behind on the turn. When he bet and then called your raise I'm thinking he's either got a straight or a flush draw...

KK against big time LAG
Okay, villain in this hand is a total LAG. VP$IP of about 89% and PFR% of around 35%. This guy is min raising, bettiing a $1, or betting 5x the pot with all sorts of hands. Anything from air to...
