Re: results
From the old guy's perspective, was he tryin to get hero to push? If your image is anywhere close to as tight as ahnuld is suggesting, it seems like the old guys play SHOULD be to get you to push. ...

Re: WPT Season 4: Grand Prix de Paris (3/29)
Roland played like an amateur - what the heck was up with the 1/4 to 1/6 pot sized bets in the beginning? It looked like he picked up poker yesterday.
And then his doubling and redoubling up of...

Re: 10/20NL Open-ended Flush Draw
OP,
Why do you want him to fold if you're a favorite in the hand? Using my "basic" math skills I generally like to get as much money in the middle as possible when I'm a favorite. Is there...

Bellagio - 5/10 nl
5/10 nl 400 min / 1000 max buy in
7 handed, not much in reads but I think I'm on a bit of table induced tilt as i've seen people call PSBs to hit back door flush draws, 5 outers and gut shots so...

Big Jim's thinking sounds right (surprise, surprise). /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I tend to agree with Poker Hoar that if he's playing like this you'll probably have other areas where you're...

Re: Flush draw + TPNK facing all-in
It helps to map out your course of action before you raise to 90 - you should know beforehand whether you're going to call a push or not. If you're not, it makes no sense to raise to 90. Just call...

Re: 2 OVERPAIR 5-10 HANDS
I think it could go either way, but with the two-tone flop I'd either call or push against the flop raise. If calling the flop, push any non-jack, non-club turn.

Re: Need help playing AQo
with 5 callers lead the flop with a >2/3 PSB - if you get called or raised anywhere I'd most likely fold / shutdown, unless I get the sense that the player would make a move like that with AJ, AT. ...

Re: Another questionable push.
looks good - i think you're analysis of which hands will be calling is fairly accurate. too bad it would put a 4 s8 on the board, otherwise i'd advocate just calling flop bet.

Re: 400nl bottom set
He either had KK and you're going down in flames - or he has AK and is attempting to better define your hand to see if he can get away from it before committing to doubling you up.
I like...

Re: Too Passive with AK?
TB,
While your strategy mitigates your risks, it also mitigates your winnings. Most of the value you're going to get with AK is going to be preflop as an A or K hitting the flop will scare off...

Re: representing a set...
I like it - although if somebody has AQh you're in [censored] shape. Also, the min-raise looks like the CO trying to get the UTG to push - he may very well be the one with the set. With your...

Re: Maniac on tilt makes it 100 to go, AGAIN
Push - with your buy-in this small you want to take the opportunity to triple up and play with a bigger stack. You're only really bad against AA, KK, TAG may have JJ and waiting to see flop to push.

I would expect that JJ or QQ would put in a...
