Re: Shreveport Memorial Day Weekend (5/26-28/07)

Great info, thanks.

Sounds like we'll be in Random Shady Inn on the outskirts somewhere. That or the Corolla Hotel I drive.

We'll be the big (one tall and one round) Texas kids. I'm in a green...

Buddy of mine and I are heading out Saturday morning. Knowing it is Memorial Day Weekend and it will probably be packed anyway, where should we look to set up shop for the weekend? We are...

Re: KK monotone board

I don't think he's got his flush, but I think you can find a better spot to get it in with. The chance that he's bluffing is not high enough to justify this call IMO.

Bad read, unlucky or most of y\'all are losing this?

Villian is kind of LAG, but on the last rotation picked up a big pot and then doubled up the next hand, so his LAG-ness is really picking up.

Full-Tilt.
.5/1 blinds
6-max

Hero raises to 4...

Re: JJ from blinds, squeeze vs laggy villain

I don't hate this move. I don't really have the balls for it, but for some reason I like it.

Re: JJ from blinds, squeeze vs laggy villain

I see this point, but I seriously cannot advocate a minimum c/r. That's just asking for a disaster.

PL v. NL distinctions

So, I'm over here in England and most all of the serious and certainly all of the higher stakes games played here are pot limit. I don't really have a problem with PL, but I've never really played it...

Welcome to 2.17%

My life sucks:
Red kings against black kings playing hold 'em
My reds lost.

It's just the two of us.
I figured it out that each of us has a 2.17% chance of winning preflop, but what I want to...

Re: Stacking 101

Yeah, this is the kind of play I usually make when I'm really bored at the table. Point conceded.

Re: Stacking 101

I fully realize the play sucks, but I cold-call, $#&% my pants if turn brings a /images/graemlins/heart.gif and, given a clear card (2/images/graemlins/club.gif would be nice), check/push the turn.

Re: Too Weak? Folding Flopped Trips

He's under the gun and limping then calling a raise. That screams pocket pair. That being said, I don't hate the fold. I'd probably call with up to 14 outs to win or tie for best hand, only having to...

Re: KK, all-in on the flop

Agreed. You have the second best hand possible PF and you have a live one on the line. Why are you getting off the gas?

Re: Lake Charles news?

Last time I was at the Isle I they had a 5/5NL game and a 3/6/12 Limit game and that was it. I just played NL and it was full of locals who are retired and have been playing with each other for 40...

Re: This is taking the \"no slowplaying\" rule too far isn\'t it?

You need to bet this. If you don't, what's your action when something like 4 /images/graemlins/club.gif hits the turn?

Re: Is this horrible? (100NL)

Make a real bet on the flop. When the A hits the flop, you need to decide whether or not you are going to continue with the hand/think villian has an A.

If you were scared of an A on the flop, why...
