Re: Some $5.50 sng hands
Hand 1: Raise the flop and fold to an all in
Hand 2: checkraise the flop. Lead the turn on the scare card and shutdown if called.

When to move up past the Pstars $11s?
Recently a friend who likes to gamble wondered why I still played the same level that I have for over a year, the Pokerstars $11 STTs. Over that time I've logged about 750 games with a ITM of 49%...

Re: Shouldn\'t he move up?
I am going to take the contrarian position, considering the advice so far seems to be unanimously move up.
Bankroll, ITM, and ROI are not the only factors to use when considering what level one...

Re: (22 Reg) Anyone else do this?
Unless this guy was consistantly minraising, not with A8 offsuit. I like reraising with 99+ AQ+ in this spot when you are in a solid 4th with that many smaller stacks who can't wait to give their...

Re: $6.5 Fold JJ Preflop?
Call and jam if the flop looks favorable. These players will call you after the flop with hands as bad as ace or king high.
The original raiser could have many hands at this level.

$11 - Top and bottom pair in level 2
My normal line when flopping top and bottom pair is to play it fast, especially out of position. There are too many cards that make later decisions difficult and I'd rather get the hand over with.

Re: $6.50 AQo with 3 callers + nut flush draw
Nut flush draw and 2 overs = PUSH!
Only other line I can see on the flop is to bet 1/2 your stack to try and make it look like you are trying to get some action, but at this level it probably...

Re: ($11\'s) What\'s my play here?
A little early to get frisky with A-trash suited. Easy fold facing the turn all-in.
I like limping with these kinds of hands early. It is easier to control the size of the pot and making big...

Re: $6: QQ UTG; Middle set on high flop
You are either way ahead or way behind here.
If you are way ahead you are not getting any more chips. Shut it down, check behind and push if you fill up on the river.
If he pushes the...

Re: $5 SNG AA second hand
Call without any question. The pot is huge and you are probably ahead of a smaller overpair.
Even if he has a set you have 6 outs and considering your pot odds (~5:1) you can chase if you saw...

Re: 11s BB on the bubble as the big stack
#1) Be wary of the min-raise. Usually a very strong hand.
#2) JJ+ AQ+
#3) Call preflop. Raise if bet into on that flop and fold to a re-raise. Don't go broke with two small stacks on the...

What the $@#^@#$^ are you doing in the first hand? Big pairs don't want to be up against multiple opponents.

Haha, that is exactly what I thought after playing the hand....

Re: $11 PS- KK I tried something fancy ugh!
Man, reading this thread before playing was not a good idea. Got KK twice and of course I had to play tricky. Very -EV playing kings tricky in the 11s.
PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is...

Re: $11 PS- KK I tried something fancy ugh!
I used this tactic in my last game, but there was 1 more caller of the PF raise before I pushed from the BB. Everyone folded except ATo. There are lots of donks at this level.
