Re: I need help playing after flop.
If your opponents are loose-passive members of ATC club, and you repeatedly bet unpaired high cards when flop is rags, I can see why they are millionaires and you are not.

Re: What was wrong with the PPT?
I liked the show a lot. The announcers were forgettable, but I'd much rather have them than Sexton/Van Patten. Getting to see world-class players play deep-stacked is infinitely more instructive than...

Re: Conjecture and Question
If I have 10K, but an expectation of 40K, then the rest of the field's expectation must be collectively reduced by 30K. Whoever I double through is most likely someone with a below-10K expectation...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #1 Turn
I'm sure we're behind CO. He could have KJ for straight, or k10 for draw and pair. I say we call for chance at monster, even if it screams draw. FWIW, MJ refers to Michael Jordan, not Miami John...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #1 Pre-Flop
I would raise to at least 500. Limping leads to 2 problems. One, either blind has good case for raising, since there's 4BB and no one has shown strength. Two, if it's an exciting 4-way flop, we can't...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #3 River
I can't see anyone calling 3 times with 36o, so let's toss that out. The river may have made his flush. He may have had a straight the whole time. QQ is doubtful, think he would have re-raised PF....

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #3 Turn
I think he's weak. But we've bet all the way, so he may be letting Hero bleed himself dry. I bet 400-500 pot and hope for a fold. There aren't many river cards that don't help something he could...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #3 Flop B
These are the scariets 160 chips ever, eh? Safe to say villain has something he likes, as obviously 160 more won't chase us out. In putting him on a range, I think we more heavily weight something he...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #3 Flop
Low-stakes, no point stealing first ten hands or so. Too many maniacs will shove with anything. Must've seen it on TV by somebody with a book, even though the exact circumstances may have been a...

Re: Three AA Hands
1st hand. Initial raiser likes hand enough to bet 4BB. Probably likes it enough to call another 8. Button is super loose and sucks. So let him suck by being super-loose. Raise the damn hand.
Hand...

Re: How would you play KK in this situation?
I would've folded pre-flop. I'm OOP. Up against multiple villains. Only 2 cards left in the deck to help me. There's probably a better spot later on, even if I only have 200 chips left by then.

Re: Interesting AA hand - decisions on all streets
I'm with Kramer about just calling the river raise, for all the reasons he mentioned. Villain could have the flush, (most likely KQ or QJ), pocket tens for the boat or something silly like A4 suited.

Re: KK early in tournament
Post said early in online tournament, so I still think this is highly possible, especially from CO. Only 1 hand beats us, and if he's not a moron, he wouldn't have raised to 12.5 BB in an unopened...

Re: Pushing small pocket pair over limpers
Good point speedgun; unpaired high cards trail a small pair preflop. To clarify, I don't know that I want to race for 1/2 my chips when there is easier money to be made, which I thought there was.

Re: Pushing small pocket pair over limpers
If i'm in blinds, and down to 6/7 BB, I call with a lot of hands that have you beat for the opportunity to add 150% to my stack. If either one has 77+/QJ+/Ax, you may be out a lot of chips.
But I...

I realize it's late in tourney, so people like me have already been knocked out, but cold-caller in first hand may have made a common mistake. Many poor players, if willing to play for all their...

Re: Meh spot
Do we have FE pre-flop? If UTG really is the King of Rocks and has, say, TT, doesn't he fold to our shove? If 2 BB help us, then the 5 BB's in pot help us a lot more, right?
If we call, then shove...
