Semi good hands in EP
The (regular) 10$ STT is in it's first levels, the game is 8-10 handed, my stake is the same as it was when the game starter (usually because I haven't played a hand jet).
I'm in UTG, UTG+1 or...

Re: BB vs. UTG on FT in a live 20$ MTT
Here is what I did. Maybe I put too much emphasis on the chance that his hand range could be wider than what I would play in that position. When I called the pf I decided to push any flop with max...

Re: hand against moron in UB $33 Rebuy
The way I see it you raised to 6,000 pf. I don't like that at all. For the reason AAPlayer05 stated and the fact that you only have ~55% chance to win this hand e.i. he is a calling station and he...

BB vs. UTG on FT in a live 20$ MTT
I had a very difficult decision to make before the flop and on the flop in a live MTT I just played.
Well, here is the situation:
8 players left of a 36. Nice blind structure. 4 places paid....

Checking down top pair (NLTRN)
This was maybe the tenth hand or so, I had been playing very aggressive - the Villain had been playing too passive and timed, but he had gone allin tree time where I of cause had folded - I don't...

Re: Min raising KQ preflop
I wish to thank all the players who took the time to explain why this is play is a bit on the weak side.
Next time you see an extremely tight, somewhat aggressive and very straightforward player,...

To everybody (except Spee) why do you answer? If you don’t have anything positive to contribute, please do not contribute – it is very easy to say “this won’t work” but if you can’t say why – please...

Re: Min raising KQ preflop
Think about the risk reward ration. What this min raise does is testing if some one is trapping and it is building the pot. If you raise more, you are totally pot committed, KQ is a weak drawing hand...

Re: Min raising KQ preflop
Yes a min raise is usually a very weak play. You tell the other players that you have some kind of hand - and you let hands like 76s and 66 limp too cheap.

Min raising KQ preflop
Usually a min raise preflop is a good indication that you are up against a weak player. But in this thread I want to discuss under which circumstances a min raise whit KQ is the only reasonably move...

I'm sorry for your bad beat! But, that's poker.
In fact, this type of player is the type you can only dream about when you are playing cash game.
Remember, this advice:

Re: $11: Did I overplay this hand?
[ QUOTE ]
Neither of these are good arguments for minraising. In fact there's no time you should minraise after 2 limpers ever.
[/ QUOTE ]
Please elaborate.

Re: $11: Did I overplay this hand?
Coldcalling and min. raising preflop is one of the easiest ways to spot a weak player.
But in this spot I would actually consider a min. raise.
First off, you are in CO, and the button might...

Re: Extracting more value?

I like the way you played the hand, on the whole. maybe raise a bit more pre flop, to 160 or 180 or so. nice flop play.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why should I raise that much? Wouldn't that create...

I pick up AQo in BB
5 callers including SB
I make it 120 and I get 3 callers. Not SB.

Re: Preflop chart
I'm playing 10 + 1$ where ~1/4 of the players would call an allin with TPTK, so JTs is also EV+
I don't have problem playing strong drawing hands, but I'm in trouble if I fx face a min. raise on...
