Re: tiny petit pyttelitet pair in the big big blind

The implied odds of a set should be higher vs. raised from outside the blinds as those hands generally are better and therefore will tend to pay you off more should you hit your set. That being said...

Re: small PP with position

If I get 3-bet on the turn, I'm always folding.

However, after speaking with my friend I realise that people 3-bet aggressively in some games and should that be the case vs. this opponent or in...

Re: small PP with position

[ QUOTE ]
C) ... In this hand, you're investing 2 BBs whether you raise the turn and fold to a 3-bet or just call the turn and river. However, it ensures you never fold the best hand, thereby...

Re: small PP with position

Admittedly, capping with those hands is definitley a loose play, but calling it a maniacal play is to oversimplify as there is clearly a benefit in capping preflop with those hands against a tight...

Re: small PP with position

i think that villain will likely have a large range of hands for his position and I therefore think you should raise a non-A/K turn for a free showdown.
Best case you can make him fold stuff like...

Re: Too weak?

I like the flop-riase.
I think pocketpairs will call you down more often when you raise the flop compared with raising the turn. I also think that raising the flop can make villain think that...

I Need Blind Defense Guidelines

I need pointers as to how I can improve my blind defense. Maybe set up a table with which hands to defend with and start working from that, or something. My current "folded BB to steal" stat is 65...

Re: KJo from villain\'s perspective

I think that folding the flop would be a disasterous play as most of the time all your outs are good.

I agree with Enitity that villain should consider donking the turn b/c imo BB will check...

Re: Preflop Poll

I can see why people prefer QJo rather than A9o in games where you either get 3-bet or coldcalled a lot.

I fold both.

Re: A question about Party\'s memory leak

i think that you need to reboot. i don't really know much about it either but i assume that "leaked memory" is memory marked as "in use" whereas party is not using it and since the program isn't...

Re: What PartyPoker Should Change

There are two obvious issues:
1. Lower the usage of cpu-power and memory
2. Lower the rake

why use slider when you can type?

Re: Gayest Thing You\'ve Ever Done?

Watching girly shows makes you a pussy, not gay.
For example, I watch Sex and the City with my girlfriend which obviously means I'm a pussy, but not gay.

Re: 66 BB Def, Ace flops, now what?

3-bet preflop followed by a c/r seems stupid. If you 3-bet preflop make sure to lead the flop, lead turn, and check-call river (given a not too ugly board).
