four way pot with position I'm checking behind on this flop.

Meh. This situation is kind of tough, in my opinion. Flop texture is very "in between" here: it's very...

the flop is an auto bet for me.

1 fewer opponent and I bet. Into four I prefer check-and-see, but I don't hate betting. I just don't see us winning this pot straight away...

Re: best way to play this?
A key to good limit hold'em is learning not to spew chips with marginal holdings in small pots.
Don't check-raise here. I think that with the gutshot (4 outs), pair outs that are good sometimes (2...

Re: A common tough spot..
Call the flop.
If you don't improve on the turn, strongly consider peeling the turn, as you will be getting 9-1, and since villain's range doesn't include tons of hands that dominate yours, you...

Honestly, how small is the range of hands that you beat here that villain might call with?
Considering villain might check-call here with Qx, Tx, 99, and maybe even (trickily) some As, the range...

What is your image in the view of the ABC player?
The risk here is that you check, villain bets, you raise, he folds, and you earn one big bet when you should have earned two by just betting both...

Re: I hate this spot
I think anything but check-calling this flop (barring a super-nit read on opponent) is a bust.
I don't see why check-call, check-call, check-tankforanhourand makeadecision isn't right here.

Re: Live 6/12, A9s - keep betting the draw?
Take the free card. Consider:
1. You aren't going to win unimproved that often here, so two of the main reasons to bet (i. hand protection and ii. the ability to showdown the river for free) are...

Yep.
I think with certain line-ups of opponents, going for a flop check-raise is the correct play. Bet-Three-bet is the default for me though.

I think the key consideration on the river on hand #1 is this:
Out-of-position, it is not necessary that you have your opponent beat a majority of the time in order to bet. What is necessary is...

1. I think betting this flop is the correct play here. The key is the position of the worst player, MP3. He's more likely to call two cold than UTG+1, so the way to optimize your chances of a...

I'm with MoM. Pre-flop 3-betting eliminates some of the leverage you want to have with this hand; specifically, it eliminates your ability to be the first to react to the pre-flop aggressor. How much...

Just juice the pot now.
The value of waiting until the turn to raise a monster is inversely proportional to the number of players in the pot. The more players in now, the more guarenteed money...

The fact is that we are never ahead on this turn after the A hits, and we have a full 5 outs almost never either. We'd be getting like 17-1, so 3 full outs would probably do the trick for a call, but...
