Re: bottom set and flush draw
How often was UTG+1 raising pre-flop? In most of the games i've played I could see him oversetting you with Aces here enough of the time to make this foldable (Although the game i've been playing in...

Software for playing online
Like many players I'm still quite weak in my Omaha Hi game. I've played a lot of NL and LHE and thus become quite accustomed to using PokerTracker and AceHud to help accelerate my learning. My...

Poker Math
I've been getting a lot more into poker theory and from my notes I have the following formula for working out the percent to win when you have 10 outs to the situational nuts. Unfortunately I didn't...

Thanks for reading the giant wall of text guys, and the feedback I've got has been extremely thought provoking - I now agree that folding was the better option.
We've already identified that a key...

Learning to think or not thinking at all?
First of all I apologise for the wall of text but this came directly from a blog entry and I don't see an easy way to summarise it. I apreciate anybody who takes the time to read this and comment.

Re: He announces his hand - do you believe him?
It depends on the person really; personally I would look to see if he keeps on talking or if that's the end of the speech. Most people would keep trying to "sell" the hand to their prospective...

This is definitely a good thing to be keeping in mind. The human mind is programmed to recognize patterns - We're brilliant at it. It's why you we hear things like "I called because I always suck out...

Re: Folding AKo Preflop
I'm undecided as to whether calling is the correct play here. If you fold you still have 6800 which is still sitting around 10 big blinds once they do go up - You're going to need to make a move...

I play $5/$10 (5% comission) and $10/$20 live at the Treasury in Brisbane and make anywhere from $800.00-$1600.00 (with the occasional hot streaks) a week doing so.
I would estimate I'm playing...
