Re: Personal / dating / whatever life situation gen advice - volume 2

Been good friends w/ a girl for about 3 monthes, and tried to move things along, but she just thinks of me as a friend. Since it's hard to ask her specifically what the problem is, anyone got advice...

Alright I got one. (still in HS fwiw) Met a girl at the beginning of the school year. We kinda got to hanging out more at school. Went to HC together, but it was kinda as friends. So we go to a few...

Re: Funny comedians

Jim Gaffigan's Beyond the Pale is a pretty good show. The whole hot pocket stuff was hilarious.

Re: Flopped FD and Gutter

I think raising into a bettor and raiser will likely get re-raised and then you have a decision. Is calling such a bad play?

Re: $50 - KK as on overpair - Do I fold this turn?

I'll usually just shove this because I'll probably see JJ, QQ, AT, alot more often than A9s, TT or 55. The flat call preflop points towards the opposite, but I still would shove this.

Re: nl50 ak did i put myself in this tuff spot

Is a re-raise on the flop to like 18 a good play here?

Re: 25NL - KK c/raised on a paired flop

Post the preflop action if you can. Assuming you raised preflop and he just called, I think that you are up against AT, JJ, QQ, more often than AA or TT. Call.

Re: AA facing shortstack all-in with one player behind

Oh yeah, I kinda forgot about raising, didn't look at stack sizes. I guess c/r all in is probably the best play, are we just hoping for AQ and a flush draw/KQ?

Re: QQ preflop

Yeah, I'm a little curious about these kinds of hands too. Are we up against TT, JJ, and AK enough to make going all in profitable?

Re: AA facing shortstack all-in with one player behind

I would probably have bet around 7 on the turn, but after the all-in and call, i think it's more likely that you are up against a set than a flush draw and a hand like AQ or KQ. I don't think a call...

Re: KK 50NL deepstack

After a safe blank, I would lead at the turn like you said. But the way the hand was played, I am suspicious of TT. You are only beat by AA, TT, and AQ. He would probably re-raise preflop w/ AA,...

Re: NL25 FR: TPNK small pot checked on flop

I would usually call this river because the raise on the turn seems like an attempt at a steal, and the river bet is a last shot at the bluff. Either that or KQ thinking he is best.

Re: 25NL - No Value From Flopped Sets

Why are we calling hand 3? Are we letting an AK bluff maybe, or letting a higher PP hang himself?

Re: $25 NL Open ended straight draw, turn OESD against Aggro

I see ur trying to play draws more aggressively but I'm not sure I call this bet even getting slightly better to 2-1. You are getting the right price to call, so it's not a bad play, but I'd like a...

Re: NL25 FR: Set against possible flush on river

The preflop flat call makes it unlikely he has a higher set (besides fives) I would doubt AK, but I wouldn't rule it out. The only hands I think he would have that would beat you would be 55, or...

Re: 1010 how to play

I don't think I would re-raise w/ 10 before the flop, but that might just be weak. I just think that MP3 has shown strength before the flop, a bet on the flop, and unless he his getting tricky w/ AK,...

Re: 16: Standard ITM push?

My first instinct is fold w/o a read of any kind, but I'm not confident at all in that.

Re: $12: Why would I ever fold top pair?

A limp by him UTG could be 66+, A9s+. Looks a little bit like AQ, but i really dont know whether i would fold the river.

Re: 6.50: Another horrible play?

I most likely fold flop, but b/c u showed such strength on the flop and that doesn't slow him down, i'd fold the turn.

Re: ($5.50) KTs in BB on Bubble vs. TAG Button Raise

Because of your reads I would prolly fold here. He's solid, and the SB is going to blind himself off for a little bit. I don't like calling 300 more here OOP.

Re: Tougher Variation Of My Last SNG Problem

If we push and the SB and BB both call, we only finish 4th if BB wins, which most likely will not happen. But if SB calls here, would BB fold hoping for a knockout even though he has just put in 60%...

Re: Tougher Variation Of My Last SNG Problem

My immediate thought was to push because a fold will mean that we are blinded out soon. I knew it couldn't be that easy, and then I saw we were on the button not the SB with a big stack next to us. ...
