Variance: post your all-in luck graph
Download http://www.pokerevsoftware.com/ , run it for all NLHE hands, then post just the "Net Run Line" all-in luck graph with BB on the y-axis. It's a good way to find out what sort of pure luck...

Re: My PLO strategy...
Think "how many ways can this hand make the nuts, especially with redraws?" In a loose/idiot game, I'd play suited aces, high pairs, and 5689 type of hands. Bet or raise pot when you have nuts or a...

Re: Live 10/25 @ the WSOP... I hate folding...
This is all-in or fold (you don't have the odds to call only to hit a spade on the turn), and you don't have much (any?) folding equity. If villian has a flush, you're 31.5% (w/o st flush draw). ...

Re: SICK HU Between Rugby and Farha!
Chip was very bad at Omaha. He looked like a fresh hold 'em convert - happily reraising all-in with top pair top kicker. I guessed he was used to limit instead of PLO.

Re: OTB openlimpminreraises
This happened to me this morning on 5/10 with shorty having $500. I pushed and he called with KK, which beat out my QQ. Two days ago this happened when I had KK and the shorty had AA. Apparently I...

Re: sick deep river spot 200/400 ugh
The board significantly changed on every street, and he keeps firing with 77, 88, TT, or a bluff. Looks like he keeps throwing money at the pot to push off someone that has shown no resistance. I'd...

Re: New Orleans WSOP: Some great poker
Tourney. Blinds $25/$50. UTG raises to $150, 3 callers, then a reraise to $900 (he has $2100 total). 1 random caller. Flop Q93 rainbow. Check, reraiser pushes all-in for last $1200. The other...

New Orleans WSOP: Some great poker
This is the most fabulous poker I have ever seen being played. Worse than a home game. I've seen tourney people call all-in with the nut low ("I guess I have the odds..."), call 90% of their stack...

AKo 5/10 vs unknowns
7 handed, I've only played 2 rounds. I don't know anyone at the table, other than they seem to be loose. I raise to $35 UTG+1, there are 3 callers, and then SB reraises to $220. Call, fold, or...

Re: Quit poker because of bad luck?
I fudged a little for drama =). The 74%/24% were from my 100 biggest hands, but the rest aren't helping. I'm about 70%/65% overall, but that doesn't do a good job explaining the overall results. I...

Quit poker because of bad luck?
I'm thinking about giving up poker. In the last year, I have gone all-in about 1000 times, and should have won 74%. I have won 24%. I am down $650,000 from my EV. I am still up a little overall,...

Re: Stinkypete\'s EV program
I've wanted something like this for a long time. It would ignore hands that weren't showndown. Plus you could calculate EV per street, not just on all-ins. Here's a very ficticious example:

Re: 5/10 77 flop set
Wow. Fantastic job Mr. Sklansky. No wonder you're such a winning high stakes NL player. By your logic, QQQ should take down a 6 BB pot against 777 333 and 222, since the button missed his OESD and...

I was always amazed at how many tables you could play, clearly not using a tight aggressive style. I couldn't imagine clicking that much. Do you just have tons of keyboard shortcuts? Or two...
