I think I also would have raised the flop, probably not to the point of pushing all in but a nice raise could have won you the pot right there. By the way I don't consider his bet of half the pot on...

I would have bet the turn here, probably around 4$. If he called and then bet the river when the Q came up I probably would have folded.
As played I think I'd actually fold there.
