Re: 10/20 Stud 8 Live
I like it all very much through the river. I don't understand why you'd check blind, or even checked had you looked. That river card is very bettable/raisable, in my opinion - although if...

Re: stud/8 - tilt makes you play badly
In my opinion there is much benefit in raising 4th, betting 5th and if necessary raising 6th. As played, it looks to me as though you're dead on the river and pacivicity loses at least half a pot.

Re: Stud/8 rolledup nines
Stud hi I'd be more inclined to play it as you did, but stud8 I'd play it much faster early and jam it up.

Re: Odd rolled hand
As played, with the smallish pot, I honestly think I'd dump it on 5th. I'd have built a much larger pot early, so I'd have to take it to showdown.

Re: 2/4 Stud hi fine laydown?
I'd prefer a check/call line in that spot. You may induce a bluff or a value bet from two smaller pair, and you'd avoid this specific situation.

Re: LO8 - Strategy Question
Jamming all the premium hands early, and be willing to peel to backdoor 2way nut hands given the size of the pot.

Re: Stud 8 aces after reraise
[ QUOTE ]
OK, I guess that part is obvious. You want the king out and to play HU against the other ace?
You actually reraise, the king folds, and the ace calls. The ace catches an ace on 4th...

Re: Hi/Lo tough river spot with AAA
I'm simply too stubborn to fold 3 aces there. In fact I don't like the check - it announces that you're not sure if your aces up are good - it lets a hand like 3 nines or a backdoor low feel...

Re: Hi/Lo (4A)4
[ QUOTE ]
I'd be more than willing to play it if someone will tell me how. Suppose I catch a Jack on 4th and villain catches a 5, what's my play? How about if villain catches a 7 and I catch an 8? ...

Re: Missed raises with a high hand in 8b?
This hand is strong enough to continue betting for value. Bet 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th (you made a flush and have one of his 6's - your hand is boss). Sometimes you'll get outdrawn and scooped, but...

Re: Hi/Lo passive low straight
Interesting hand. My gut tells me to hate the passivity with which you played it (mostly because Seat 1 will often be willing to go to war and end up with aces up/no low at showdown), but with the...
