Re: How profitable should be a 2/5 live game?
It really depends on the games. I've played semi regularly in a variety of 2/5 games. I've played in some 2/5 200max games that get deep fast and seem like absolute goldmines compared to a 2/5 300...

Re: plz ban recallme
I actually like recallme's posts. He's trying to improve his game and is trying to get real discussion going without the elitist prick attitude that is so popular around here. Maybe that's just me?...

Re: You bet WHAT?
This is a pretty clear fold. He's been calling all of your raises and playing really passive, and suddenly he blows his load on a 552 flop? This is a monster way way more often than not. IMO, you...

Re: K/high flush deep stacked
Just get it in. If this "snug ABC" full ring player happened to randomly and uncharacteristically raise Ahxh UTG, then oh well.
QQ, JJ, AhAx make the most sense here.

I think the super tiny bet followed by huge raise is a lot scarier than just a CRAI

Re: Deep set
I think those are pretty good reasons to explain why you slowed down. I'd also add:
5) He sees you as tag, and 18/17s don't usually go buckwild firing three barrels worth 150BB into a tag player...

Re: BB/100 ratings...and PT stats
Man, its going to suck so hard when you realize how wrong you are. I almost feel bad.

I have no plans to have that number reduced at all over the next 10k or even 100k hands.

Re: BB/100 ratings...and PT stats
No one plays 8 tables the same as 4. How it effects variance depends though. Some play 8 tables more conservatively - fewer bluffs, folding in some marginal spots, etc. If that is the case, your...

Re: Deep set
I think you have to get it in here, one way or another, but it's not exactly a fistpump situation.
18/17's putting in 150BB with AK or some [censored] against a tag that isn't folding doesn't...

Re: A standard AK hand
Check turn, if he makes a reasonable bet call. If he checks, I would bet. If he c/r's river, it sucks, depending on the river, but youre almost definitely beat.

Re: A standard AK hand
I like checking turn too, then calling his river bet, or betting if checked to. This can often induce bets from hands that would give up to a 2nd barrel, and you lose the minimum when youre behind. ...
