Well comon, dont be mean, but think about it right? maybe this is an incorrect play but at least i was thinking right?

I basically have to lose to both players to lose the tourney, if i win I have a good stack to get 1st or second, if i lose to small stack i still have an ok stack left to play if big stack loses.

Why is this wrong thinking? Isn't this right in some situations?

Plays like this are usually only good in spots where you and the slightly shorter stack are extremely short or when a double up for the shorter stack would mean you almost certainly end up bubbling.

In this spot you are short, but you still have a significant amount of chips that can double through and have some amount of FE. The small stack doubling isn't the end of the world, and there is a decent chance you are in really bad shape either from a higher Ax from the short stack or being up against a better Ax and some PP. If you barely covered him then I would like the call.

If I fold I am at the same stack as if I would lose to short stack and win vs. big stack, although if i call, the short stack would have 500 more chips. short stack is pushing with almost any 2 here im sure...

I would like you to have less than two big blinds to be thinking like that. Also, at the lower buy-ins you should expect that people won't play correctly on the bubble, so their hands get easier to read. It looks like SB is ahead of the short stack and maybe ahead of you. You've got a decent amount of equity left if you fold.

sb was playing like a true donkey, but that doesnt really matter i guess. Anywhere I can get more information on this? I know that there is a pokerxfactor vid i saw about this, but didnt really explain it too well. This is a situation that comes up frequently, and it would just be nice to know when to "pull the trigger". SnGPT can't analyze hands like this, and i dont even know where to begin with the math, although i could try.
