OT: Opportunity of a Lifetime

As some of you may know, Z32fanatic and I have just purchased a 800k, 5300 square foot house in the beautiful Austin, Texas home of the University of Texas (lots of college girls). There are going to be 6 poker players living in the house, but we realized that the demand was too high so we are now going to purchase the house next door as well. We are looking for people who want to move to Austin, Texas and live in the house next door (which is a very baller house), and who are motivated poker players. Also anybody living in the house will be allowed to work out a coaching deal with us if they would like. You have to commit for a year. Said people will pay rent to us and share utility costs.
To be eligible for this opportunity you must know somebody who has met one of us and can vouch that you are not a wackjob.

Let the bidding begin.

I would definitely like to do this. I would need to know some details like the cost of rent/utilities/etc before giving a 100% yes though.

Living with 5 roommates < being homeless.

Of course, it does sound like a cool place to visit for a few weeks.

You would actually have no roomates since everyone would get there own room (and probably bathroom). You would have 3 housemates....

Approximate cost joe? Or do you really want us to throw out bids without knowing the fair rent value of the place?

Re: OT: Opportunity of a Lifetime

Estimated cost was posted in BBV. I'm in if it stays around $1250/mo+utilities

Edit: I could probably swing 1500/mo too but that would require me to stop being a nit and move up.

A sharp could easily cover his share of the rent and utilities by prop betting these guys.

Also, bigjoe has been know to pay absurd amounts for laundry and for trips to PF Changs.

So Im guessing there'll be absolutely no temptation to collude with ones housemates if one were to move into said house.

Stars does a very good job of preventing collusion, I would advise against cheating

Approximate cost will be between 1k-1500 plus your share of utilities

I'm married w/ kids, can they come?

Unfortunately I have never met any 2p2, so no one can vouch for me... plus I am too old at 34, too much baggage...

Where were these opportunites when I got out of college

Sounds like it will be a good experience for anyone that takes it.

how about 2nd house+2nd mortgage with 6 people paying 1k+ for rent to pay of that mortgage. 800k house mortgage at 30 years is what 3500$ a month? not to mention they are renting the other one out as well. He is going to be getting probably about 12k/month and have to pay about 7k/month for mortgages.

Joe, I don't know if you want to talk about it, but I am curious, how did you finance the house? How much cash did you put down, and what kind of interest rates were you able to get?
