Hi Sukit,

Nice job.

You may wish to consider setting the Calculation mode back to Automatic at the end of your macros (at the same time that you reset the ScreenUpdating). Otherwise people may not immediately notice that their other spreadsheets are not automatically calculating when they should [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Actually, I originally had it setup that way, but it was recalculating a second time when it exited the macro and changing the hand being displayed.

But you're right, some people may not realize why Excel isn't updating when they go to a different spreadsheet.

So, I tweaked the code so that it changes to manual calculation on opening the workbook and back to automatic on closing the workbook. Now, no one should have any problems.

Looks good wish I could have had something like this earlier.

Would it be possible if you could email me a copy of the hands that Miller recommends in "long format". I've done something similiar and would like to see if maybe I'm missing something. Also, are these the same guidelines that Sklansy recommends?

Actually, the hands in "long format" is already in the spreadsheet. If you look at the second table labeled Table, there are two tables. The one on the right is the full list of hands from all positions, etc. So, you can for example sort this by the hand column, and it will put all the TT hands together.

The one in yellow is the same list with the obvious folds taken out. This is the one the main page reads from, so you won't want to change anything.

FWIW, I found it much easier to memorize the hand first, then all the positions and actions second (rather than by position, then all the hands applicable for that position). Such as KQo -- raise in MP and LP, limp in EP and SB, and fold to a raise except in BB.

These are the recommended starting hands by Sklansky as well since Small Stakes Holdem is a 2+2 book. (Contradictory advice on AQo not withstanding.)
