sb is bad, something like 47/25, and the reason i'm in the game. bb is durrrr. if he folds i instacall, with sb's donkishness i'm sure i'm ahead of his range, and i don't mind playing for his short stack. but with durrrr's coldcall can i continue in the hand? anyone consider pushing? Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $50 BB (5 handed) converter Hero ($4750) SB ($2346) BB ($21792) UTG ($4725) MP ($5000) Preflop: Hero is Button with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP raises to $175, Hero calls $175, SB calls $150, BB calls $125. I usually fold because of BB's call. I think you are ahead of SB more often than not, but BB checked the flop and then called 2171 after considerable action before him. Sounds like a monster there. Unless he is a donk that will call off so much on just a flush or straight draw, I think you are behind way more often than not. And even if you are not behind, he probably has between 9-15 outs to beat you (I doubt you are against 99; if you are ahead you are probably against something like As2s I'd think. And if you are behind, you are likely drawing to two outs. And of course, though probably unlikely based on what you are saying, there is the not insignificant chance that SB is ahead of you. I think this is a fold.

durrr is probably calling 125 more out of the BB after 3 callers with ANY 2. He is unlikely to be making a move on the pot since the SB is all in.

the only hands you beat here are 33, 66-99, and maybe A5 or 56. his ROH here is any two, and if he has an a-hi flush draw youre about even. I dont see him making this move with 66-99, he would push or fold, since hes committing himself anyway. This is a strong call since hes committed against any push. I would put him on 45, a set, or an ace high flush draw, and the only hand there youre ahead of has 15 outs to redraw on you. i would fold this

OOC, how does SB's relative position to you affect your profitability at this table?
If you were playing at a lower limit (with higher % rake per pot) would that be enough to swing the balance to leaving the table, or not? |

If Durr knows you're solid, then calling is not a good idea.
Pushing is probably out too; he's really unlikely to fold for another 2400 getting ~4:1. He decided when he called the BB that he was gonna go to the felt. Your best case scenario is that he's on a big spades draw, but I don't see you being better than that sort of coin flip in the side pot and you could be totally crushed. |
