Default Help me plan a romantic trip to Niagra?

I'm looking for advice on where to stay, what to eat, and what to do at night time. We'll be going mid-June for 3 days and 2 nights, probably Sat-Mon or Sun-Tues. She's not 21 yet, so the Canadian side would be better for anything involving alcohol. We'll have a car available, if necessary.

Any help / links would be appreciated.

I know a lot of people go on honeymoons and stuff there, but honestly when I went there a couple years ago it seemed like a total dump.

The Canadian side of the Falls is actually quite nice. I don't have recommendations on where to stay, but I would avoide the American side as much as possible. Clifton Hill is definitely a fun area for non-21 year old Americans.

I'm up there all the time (GF lives up there). CA side is where you want/need to stay American side is worthless except for Seneca Niagara Hotel.
If you plan to play Then Pick there or the Fallsvue Hotel both offer a P*ker rate. If not go to the Hilton or the Marriot. Get a Fallsview room in either.

When in Canada...
In any case when up there go to Niagara on the Lake. (rent car or take a tour) Its got a downtown area with candle shops, kitchen shops, and other things of the like. Also some nice resturants. Stop in the cigar shop get your self a cuban btw.

Go visit a Winery, Inniskillin is pretty close and makes some decent wine. The tour wasn't expensive and my GF loved it.
Linky

Do the Maid of the Mist your if its your first time there. It's touristy but cool.

American side, go to the top of the falls resturant and/or walk around the park.

If you have time and want to do a "guy" thing go to the anchor bar (in buffalo) which is like a 30 minute trip just to go see the home of the buffalo wing.

That's actually where we're coming from.

About the shopping, we'll probably want to take a day trip to Buffalo and hit up our favourite American stores. I wouldn't mind grabbing lunch at Duff's, since they have the best chicken wings I've ever had.

I went to Niagra as a kid but never really did the whole Maid-of-the-Mist thing, so I think I want to do it this time around.

If we have time, I at least want to swing by the casinos just to locate the poker rooms for the next time I go back. I won't be playing any poker on this trip.

From what I've heard, you may want to try to ditch the GF one night and head over to Sundowner's.

If you decide to spend a day in Buffalo, let me know and I ll give you some tips on food, hang outs etc....Duffs is in the suburbs of Buffalo actually....

...you could also hit the Anchor Bar, which is the original wing place, also get some beef on weck

Check and see whats up at Sheas, they may have a good show in town...and if they do you need to eat at EB Greens one of the top 10 steakhouses in the US, The Chop House a fantastic Steakhouse, or Mothers which I recommend more than all 3 as it is probably the most romantice and have spectacular food...

...The Steakhouse in the american casino is also spectacular
