Well I have been on a cold streak lately. If you follow any of my posts you know I like to pick a lot of dogs, and this will happen from time to time. So tonight I am trying to get back on track with 3 picks I really like.

Calgary +120 at Vancouver
I really feel like the wrong side is favored in this game. Calgary is among the best teams in the NHL and no matter what happens here they should keep this game close. Vancouver has won just 2 games in their last eleven including a 1-3 roadtrip where their only win was against the lowly Chicago Blackhawks. This is the 1st game back home for Vancouver after said road trip and usually leads to tired unfocused performances from most teams. I capped this game at -102 so looks like some decent value on the Flames side in this one.

Los Angeles +108 vs San Jose
How can the 1st place team in the Pacific be a dog to the last place team? This is another game where I feel the wrong team is favored. The Sharks have won just 3 of their last 8 and are just 4-7 against divisional opponents this year. Los Angeles is a walking infirmary, but have proven time and time again just how deep they really are. They are 8-1-1 over their last 10. The public loves San Jose for what ever reason which usually means there is good value on the other side. This game is no exception. I capped LA at -124 in this one which means lots of value.

Anaheim at Minnesota 05.5 +117
If Anaheim can get on the board 1st look for this game to go over. If Minny gets up 1st we could have a tough time of it as the Wild will grind no matter how much time is left on the clock. That said, this is not the same Wild team that was struggling to score goals at the beginning of the season. They have gone over the total 6 times in their last 10 with 2 pushes. Anaheim has gone over 7 times with 1 push in their last 10. I have a feeling this line has more to do with Manny Fernandez starting in goal than with the 2 teams playing. At +117 the price is right to play the over on this one.

Hoping I can go 2-1 on these tonight, but really feel like I could have a 3-0 night. Recent history says otherwise, but time will tell [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
