I sat next to a cute girl in French all of last year, had a huge crush on her. Finally worked up the courage to ask her out a week before Spring Break, turns out she had a boyfriend who was on the varsity football team (turns out I actually knew him through a mutual friend). It was awkward talking to her for the rest of the semester and even more awkward doing it in French.
*sigh*
