I have a couple questions on this subject. I was wondering what the pros think about HUDS.
1) is it ethical? 2) If so, then what buy-in should I consider using it? I'm doing the chris ferguson experiment myself. I started out with a small deposit and I'm up to about $400. I'm currently playing a mixture of $3, $5, and $6 SNGs. |

The industry weighed in on this subject a long time ago. They're legal to use, so they're ethical.

Most pros use them. I never used them for sngs, but I wouldn't play cash without them.
They are pretty much necessary if you are going to play more than 4-6 tables. |

Is there any level where I would be at a huge disadvantage without them? I think that most people use them at the middle and high stakes but not so much at the low stakes. Is this correct to assume? Or where is the point I need to consider it?

The sngicons (some of the best on the planet) don't use HUDs all the way up to the highest stakes offered.
For STTs that is, I'm sure they must for cash. |
