Default WSOP sat. level 1 - trips w/ K kicker. . . call AI?

Bodog WSOP sat. Winner takes all, 44 entries.

Level 1 Blinds 5/10
All relevant stacks are essentially equal at around 2500.
Folded around to the button who makes it 30, I call in the SB w/ K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], BB calls. We've only been playing for 1 orbit, so no reads except the button has raised PF 3 times already.

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
check, check, button bets 60, I call, BB calls.

(pot 270) Turn A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
checks around

(pot 270) River 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet 150, BB raises to 400, button folds . . . what's my best action here?

I reraise to 1000, BB pushes. . . Hero?

Is this an easy call? With my reraise, I've essentially spelled it out for BB that I have a Q. . . he doesn't seem to mind and pushes anyways.

I've played a couple of these bodog sats and the players are really bad.

I have to call here...he could've spiked his turn Ace...either way, any Q (minus Q4 or Q5) is a chop...

if he has 44...so be it
if he has 55...YSSCKY

Easy Call - this is what you wanted when you slow played trips right? I mean that IS why you checked/called the flop, checked the turn and then bet 1/2 pot on the river... He doesn't think you have a Q, he spiked an Ace on the Turn or has a mid-pocket and thinks it's good (88-TT)

55 is a definite concern.

Yes, 55 is a real concern. I think calling that 400 river bet was the better move.

There is no way villain raises my reraise on that board with 88-TT. Same goes for an A.
When villain pushes I know that the absolute worst hand he could have is Q2. My biggest concerns are 44, 55 & AQ (maybe AA?).

I don't think Ax is out of the question here

55 while a possibility is still unlikely

AA is highly unlikely

Qx looks about right here

This is all well and good, but even with three way action on the flop, the pot was 1/10 of your stack on the river.

Bet the turn. BB has a queen and will happily give his stack to you there.

PS: He probably has Q5-Q4, QJ-QT, AQ in roughly that order, but you're pretty much pot committed at this point.

edit: wait, I missed the pot was raised...it's an easier (but still only b/c you're pot committed) call now, 55 isn't very likely so you have the effective third nuts on this board. If you both had 5K I would very quickly fold.

Agreed, in retrospect, I think I got too cute with the turn check. I was hoping the A hit someone. But if that was the case, then I should of just bet out to start building the pot. Seeing the turn check through was awful.

As far as being pot committed. . . I think I could still fold here & be ok. I'd have ~1400 and like I said. . . the play was bad, so I would have opportunities to win back chips.

As far as Villain's hand. . . Adanthar's range was pretty good as villain showed QJ & MHIG.
