He is saying he has a marginal hand by limping in the CO.
Raising pf isn't the best idea because you are building a big pot OOP. I would definitely bet this flop .20-.25. If he calls, I would fire again on the turn. As played, the river is good - IMO you are getting value out of one pair Ace hands that just hit and weaker two pair hands. |

Bet flop. Bet turn. River is fine. [/ QUOTE ] You are OOP with mid pair, you are invested nothing, the pot is not worth risking and you dont know anything about your opponent hand. So I would just check the flop. As played, I would bet turn and river is good. But guys maybe you can explain, why flop bet is good. EDIT: Maybe I missed something, I am tired and drowsy, 33 minutes more and then I have been awaked last 24 hours. |

Betting the flop gets value out of hands that float with nothing, as well as charging a price so a hand like XcXc or 89/9T doesn't get a free look at the turn.
You probably have the best hand, I would just try to take the pot down on the flop. |

Betting the flop is bad IMO. If he calls what do you do on the turn? Keep bloating the pot while OOP with a very weak hand? You probably just c/f and lose more than was neccesary. Exercise pot control and c/c the flop. There are draws you are giving free cards to but keeping the pot small in this situation is more important than charging draws.
There was a thread from landlord within the last week where he discussed this with a high stakes player. Its worth checking out. |

Have to agree with pterodactyl, betting the flop will only get you into trouble. Sure, he is holding a marginal hand, but what if you get raised on the flop? Now, you have put yourself in a difficult situation with middle pair.
I understand that you have to be aggressive, but not with this hand. On the turn, I think you could put in a bet because your opponent showed some weakness with a check on the flop. On the river, I think that you play is standard. I look forward to seeing your opponent turning over Ace Rags)(A9 or lower) or A4 for a lower two pair. I would discount him having a set because, with that would he not just put you allin when you reraised him? |

why bet the flop? you have showdown value and are only getting value from draws which have good equity anyways when in position against your marginal hand. i think the hand was played well, aside from probably betting the turn just to protect my hand.

Checking flop oop is ok imo. I def bet the turn if the flop goes check/check, river is ok.
