F-Zero hands down for each console this game is on. Its way faster than all that Need for Speed or grand turismo BS, and the soundtrack is awesome, especially in GX (even though I've never played it).

Didn’t really like F-zero on the SNES loved it on the N64 only played a little on the Game cube but found the graphics so detailed and full they were distracting.
Super Mario Kart is the most fun I've ever had with a racer but props to chase HQ and Gran Turismo to. |

I liked Race Drivin' and STUN Runner. There aren't too many racing games that I don't like, as they're my favorite genre and I'm better at them than anything else. I hate the games that speed up the last guy to keep it "fun." I'm referring to the last place guy in Daytona USA being able to turn 14 second laps while the leader can only manage high 19s if he drives perfectly.
I was also a fan of the R360 and Afterburner style games, though I don't know if they're close enough to racing to qualify. As far as overhead perspective games, Super Off Road was pretty great. |

Grand Prix Legends for PC is still (IMO) the best multiplayer racing game ever.

kart 4 64 was best IMO,
I have played the latest forza on 360 and that is pretty sweet even though I sucked. Just played GT for the Wii (hired it) whilst it was fun playing with the Wii wheel the game sucked balls. |
