Default $4/$8 Live -- JQs UTG+1 -- Flop Top Pair Facing Heavy Action

Kill is on, Hero open limps J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3 callers, Villain raises, blinds fold, rest call (5 handed).

Flop comes J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (10.75 SB)
Hero bets, one caller, Villain raises, Hero calls (heads-up).

Turn comes A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (7.75 BB)
Hero checks, Villain bets, Hero folds.

Would this have been a good time to go for a check/raise on the flop?

Any reads on the villain?

I would call preflop in a standard live game, but I think folding would be good in a tight, aggro game like online.

I would bet the flop, and would actually reraise planning to bet turn.

If we knew the flop would be bet by someone else in LP, then I would check-raise. Without that information, I bet, and probably reraise.

QJs is an easy open raise in a five handed game.

After you just call his flop bet and check the turn he is repping the Ace(He was the PF raiser)so what else can you do but fold here. Were you UTG or UTG+1 in this hand or? Without a 3 bet or a flop C/R this is tougher to play. Don't kick yourself too much for laying this down even if he did show you 46o. If he hadn't of showed you 46o what hand were you putting him on? I think just more aggression with this hand Any kind of a read at all would be cool to know

Heh.

When you put 5 handed at the top of the HH and in parenthesis it looked like the game was 5 handed.

Post the whole hand better man.

Like, was villain Kill? Where did you open limp from? Where were the callers?

Either way don't fold the turn.

Everyone's always looking for spots on here to make super huge laydowns. You don't think he'll do this stuff with JTs or 88?

Yea, we don't know he'll do moves with hands like this without some kind of knowledge(if you know how he plays)of how he might play hands

I would like the c/r on the flop. As played, against a typical 4/8 player, I think you can fold on the turn. Of course a typical player will not reraise 64o so a read on the player can help.
