Default Pot Limit: what are the key differences

I'm trying to clear a bonus on Pokerroom, I usually play NL10 but they don't offer it. I've been trying my hand at PL 25 which appears to offer the softest game.

Any key tips for the differences between NL and PL?

I think the only real difference is that you can't raise enough from the blinds. Otherwise the play is pretty much same.

Ya I find the play postflop extremely similar, sometimes can't overbet shove but nothing major. However preflop is fairly different, especially with deep stacks it can be much better to re-raise with a higher frequency. Due to the fact that you cannot make it too espensive for people to call with mediocre hands pre, it is better to raise a large variety of hands cutting down on their implied odds.

I find i limp raise with AA/KK far more on pot limit tables, as you can't raise as much first in, plus you normally get more callers at pot limit. I don't do it every time, but on aggro tables it is usually the best way to get the pot heads up.

NL is more a flop game = you should decide on the flop if you want to felt a big pot.

PL is more a turn game = you can play more flops without fearing being pushed out of a hand at the flop.

For PL bet sizing is a bit more important (even if the options are limited compared to NL). If you have a monster on the flop you'll have to calculate flop, turn and river bets to max out the potential of your hand.

Since the options are limited your play (unfortunately the opponent's play as well) is a tad more diguised. A Pot sized bet could mean anything...

I concur that PL is softer than NL at PS, at least @ PL25 to PL50 (I haven't played many hands at NL100). The field is smaller and you get to know the regulars fairly quickly.

More drawing to cinch hands and consequently more suck outs. And there is not a lot you could do about it.

Edit: Forgot to confirm what others said: By and large, PL is much much more similar to NL than to Limit. As a matter of fact, NL and PL play quite similar.
