Shipping golf clubs

I just sold all my clubs individually on ebay because i got more money that way. so today i go to the ups store to get some boxes to ship them in, the lady rings up 8 of them and tells me "that will be $94 hun"
for boxes? aaaa no thank you.

has anyone ever shipped clubs before? theres got to be a cheaper way right? any help appreciated.
