.50-1 blinds on Full Tilt in 6 handed game.
I have $75 and opponent has the same. Opponent has a vpip of 15% and pfr of 8% over 100 hands. I have not seen him do anything but tight abc poker. I raise UTG to $3. Opponent makes it $12 in middle position. Everyone folds back to me. |

call and see what flop brings. but c/r'ing ai on a rag flop is turning our hand into a bluff...but is it worth it for protection vs AK and mayyybe value from TT?JJ?

Push. Calling gives you reverse implied odds. If you were in position, calling would be better.

grunch: the profitability of that play depends on how light villain is 3betting though? If hes only 3betting a really tight range, and calling with a range that crushes QQ...how can that be the best play?

"grunch"
Depends on how you've been playing. If your play has been tight and this is the first you've raised in a while then get out. If you've been seeing lots of flops and raising most times you enter a pot then re-raise and see how serious he is. I wouldn't go all-in because the reward isn't worth the risk but popping it up to say, $25 all together will put the pressure back on villian. The 4x reraise indicates to me that villian is trying to push people out and take the pot pre-flop so I don't think he has AA or KK. Most people want a little action with their monster pockets. |

call. pushing is so gross, as honestly lots of hands he calls are going to be AK if hero has played reasonable, folds JJ and of course is crushed by AA/KK.
Q high flops you can crack AA/KK sometimes and lots he will have something like AK/AJs and you can sometimes float flop and catch that i dunno, i guess thats why i basically always call there |
