Default AJs, 3 bet pot vs shorty. Flop plan?

Villain is unknown. I have TAG image (maybe not to him though because he's relatively new to the table). PF probably isn't standard, but i didn't want to fold, and didn't want to call...so here i am. Anyway what's the plan on the flop? Note stack sizes

Bet $26-30ish. It'll look like your trying to milk him and it lets you get away if he's calling/pushing. This flop either hit him hard or totally whiffed him unless he does something stupid like push 77 w/ a spade. Give it one shot and be done w/ it.
I don't like checking for the same reason that a small pp w/ a spade may push if u show weakness, but may fold if u bet. I just check if I think he'll only bet a better hand. Faaak, I dunno. This is a really ghey spot.

This is actually close between betting and just c/folding. What range is this guy calling 3bet w/ and will he stack w/ any piece/spade???

I initially thought about betting, but I don't like this line because it kinda sounds like we're betting to make sure he doesn't bluff us out of the pot, which doesn't sound like very good logic.

1/2 pot or c/f is fine IMO. I am thinking c/f is a little better v likely, unless this tardard is calling with 77 etc pf...then a bet is a little better IMO.

eh, I just c/f here most of the time until I've seen him play some. Some shorties love to push scary cards/flops...and some love to just call PF/fold their stack away.

i kinda need a read on the shortie. if he has like 30+VPIP im probably betting and calling a shove. if he has a tighter range id probably c/f.

against an unknown shortie i just basically give up on the flop unless he shows weakness.

I like betting 2/3pot and folding to a raise, or giving up much better then c/folding.
though you're never getting called by worse hands,
you have the best hand here a fair share of the time,
and not betting pretty much forfeits all of those times.

i think there are many worse hands/draws that can shove over our bet on this flop. this is why betting puts us in such a chitay spot. even if we do get it in on the flop and we are ahead, villain is usually drawing pretty live.

for this reason id like a read on the shortie, otherwise im playing this very cautious if he is an unknown.

I have no idea what to do on the flop and this is why I wouldn't 3bet it preflop.

Wow, that's a tough spot. You are pretty much creamed by any reasonable 3-bet-calling range, but we're readless so maybe that's to much to assume.

I hate bet/folding because I never believe a shorty when he pushes and would probably call anyways. How about check/fold the flop, and bet the turn if he checks?

I guess we shouldn't be 3-betting shorties light because of this kind of dilemma.
