Default Dell desktop issues

ok i recently added a new video card...the machine came with an on board video card...i also added a port for my verizon card to fit into the desktop...im running 2 dell fp 20.1in monitors...the computer boots into windows xp and then when i try and do anything the monitors go blank...help please.

Did it ever work with 2 monitors or did the problems start after you installed the video card?

might want to try downoading updated drivers. or in some cases, might need to get an older driver.

when you say verizon card, i am assuming you mean a network card.

WHen you said the monitors worked before, did you mean with the onboard video or with your new video card?

If they worked with the new video card, were they working before or after you put in the network card.

The reason i am asking this is that more than likely there is an IRQ conflict with the new video card and the new network card. You might want to also make sure that the onboard video is disabled in the BIOS.

You have to disable the on-board video card.

Control Panel / System / Hardware / Device Manager / Display adapters /

Double-click on your on-board card and set Device usage to Do not use this device (disable).
