I did and was super underwhelmed. Way too, well, network tvish. It's like they took 4 guys from Friday Night Lights and tried to put guns in their hands, thereby making them mobsters.
The episode was all over the place, the mass shooting to a Snow Patrol (????) song was pretty absurd, and in general thought that the writers would've handled this better. Maybe if someone had never seen an episode of the Sopranos this show might be alright I guess. Even so, I had some high hopes with all the great writers behind it, and it really underwhelmed me. I'll probably give it one more shot next week, but the Monday night 10/9c spot on NBC doesn't seem to be working for them. |

Saw it, thought it was average, I'll try again next week, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

First half was boring and slow, but it picked up a little. It has potential so ill keep checking it, but it needs some quick improvements.

Sloppy [censored] writing.
A voice over that basically serves as a lousy exposition device that vanishes off and on throughout the story. A bad mix between commedy and and serious. It's not horrible, but it's cliche, it's been done before, and nothing feels fresh. The casting is pretty sick though, save for the actual lead actors. Can't believe they killed off Frank Sobatka that quick. This ep was so mired in telling peopel who everbody is that it's hard to judge, I'll give them a few more shots, but I don't feel good about it. The chick is cute as [censored]. |

I'm trying to decide if this show is trying harder to be "The Departed" or "Four Brothers".
In any event, I think Mark Wahlberg should sue for royalties. |

Forgot about it, watched The Dead Zone Season 2 DVD and DanceLife instead.
From comments, seems like I make a decent (though slightly lame) choice |
