With 3-way action and this flop, I'm really beginning to question whether my raise was the right play here. The only hand I'm behind is 99 or A-9 and there's not flush or straight draw to worry about. With both players betting I think a call might of been better. I guess if one of them had called my raise and I won than I wouldn't be saying that.
What's the right thing to do here, call or raise, if you raise how much? What's the plan on 4th street whether you call or raise??? Also I had problems with Bisonbison's hand converter on this one, kept wanting to say I only reraised to $12, but I raised $12 to $20, anyone else having trouble with it lately?

thanks EM, I was kinda surprised too, I mean they bet with the two Aces out there, but now I'm thinking maybe a call might of been better.
I guess it's up for debate |

I get greedy and call Villain1 hoping that Villain2 calls. On the turn I C/R all-in. If Villain2 came along that would be ~$30 into a ~$34 pot and they both might call. If he doesn't, it's ~$30 into $26 which isn't that much of an overbet for Villain1 to call.

EMC,
You like line?? why?? Thundercat, I dislike it. Firstly, Raise to $4 or $5 with AK UTG. secondly, why the hell did you check that flop? If I'm checking that flop, its certainly NOT to C/R. Put yourself in villains shoes: The PFR checks the flop when there's two aces there, so you bet and then he C/R...what hand would you put him on?? Surely your line get the LEAST possible money from a weaker ace. Your other options on this flop are to lead or check/call. I prefer the lead, because in a way it looks like you DON'T have an ace. Sure, this might make all villains fold, but you're not winning a big pot here unless an opponent has an ace anyway. The check/call line is ok, but I don't think is maximises value from a worse ace. So: flop lead > check/call >> check/raise |

Ok, so again, I lack reading ability, hence I thought the post said Hero bets 4.
I thought hero lead and then fired when raised. When I was refering to the line I was more talking about the merit of bombing that flop than smooth calling there. We dont play limit, hence the check raise pretty much I feel should be relgated to a bluff. However, the merits are as shown that a villian can bet and raise on a bluff to get a pot with a hand. |

EMC,
OK, at least you agree that leading is better than C/R, but why do you think C/R is better than C/C? Surely a big C/R from the PFR is just going to scare out villain? |
