Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 folds, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Button calls, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises</font>, BB folds, MP1 calls, Button calls. Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5.5SB, 3 players) <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets</font>, MP1 folds, Button calls. <font color="blue">If villain holds A rag i'm a huge dog post flop. I know its frowned upon here but i bet to "find out where i'm at". Can anyone explain a better strategy here? </font> Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3.75BB, 2 players) <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets</font>, Button calls. <font color="blue">No flop re raise and one villain out of the way. I probably wouldn't have raised that pf as you're oop against two guys. Might be weak play by me.
Having raised, I'd bet the flop here always. I have no idea what I'd do later on. Probably bet the turn, c/f river.

Edit: Note that I'm used to the 3/6 game right now so .50/1 probably plays a little different. However, Ace-rag is even more likely at your level to be limped.

pajo,
You bet the flop because you likely have the best hand. When no one has an ace they fold and you win the pot. The turn is the only difficult decision in this hand and is very player dependant. Against retards or flop peelers i bet again. Against someone who isn't likely to call the flop here with less than an ace i check/fold. Against an unknown i bet again and hate it probably planning on it being the last money i put in. One more edit: moral of the story is being OOP sucks.

Glad I'm out of that phase and can now reevaluate well post flop.
