Default Ultimate Poker Challenge $10,000 tourney

The website says starting chip count is $30,000 and blind levels are 75 mins. Pretty cool but only worth taking the trip to Vegas if people are gonna play. Anyone here planning on going?

I see it now, I think I'll be passing, its the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. That's my favorite 4 days of the year, and this year got 4 tvs in my entertainment room and 4 seperate receivers. The website says first of 4 10k tourneys though, if one falls during April while I'm out there for Five-Star I may play.

Those people do the worst marketing. If it is anything like their past $10K events at the Plaza or any of their current $660 buy-in events I would not expect that many people. Maybe 150. I could be wrong though. There are so many B-C & D List poker players looking to win something and improve their celebrity that the number could push to 200.

The last two UPC $10k events at the Plaza drew 55 each, according to Pokerpages. 150 would be considered a tremendous success (as well as being highly unlikely).

i would be surprised if they get more than 3-4 tables. it's also going on during the $10k at the wynn. seriously, who do you think is promoting their 10k event better, binion's or wynn? this is the first mention i've seen of this here (though i have a flier from binion's w/ the dates from january), so i doubt it draws well.

that wynn tournament will probably get 100+ players i'd guess, who knows. i know it's well known enough to get some interest.

The UPC $10K has been moved to March 16-18, though the TV taping is now in doubt.

Passport Entertainment has cancelled the TV taping of all remaining weekend UPC tournaments ($660 and $340 buy-in events) due to funding issues.
