Default David Williams Hate?

i've read in a lot of posts that ppl have a dislike/hate of David Williams...is there anything in particular about his personality, image, game, looks, etc. you guys don't like?

he's sometimes lumped in with Antonio Esfandiari in terms of ppl either loving him or hating him...

what are some of the reasons? also, do you guys think he's a good player overall?

It has something to do with toes or something.

And it's not 'hate' necessarily. People just like to give him a hard time. Phil Gordon was shocked at the questions e-mailed to him during the 2006 WSOP final table broadcast regarding Mr. Williams.

I hate him because he's a blatant scumbag cheater at Magic: The Gathering. Check this out from Wikipedia:

His initial foray into Magic's Pro Tour came in the late 1990s. He had already won over $30,000 playing Magic as a part of team Rhyno, who included amature Magic and poker players Jon Finkel a.k.a. "Johnny Magic", Ian Winkler a.k.a. "Albino Rhyno", and Kai Budde a.k.a. "The German Juggarnaut", when he made the cutoff for the final day of competition of the 2001 World Championships in Toronto. However, he was disqualified without prize for marked cards because all four of his Accumulated Knowledge cards were bent more than the other cards in his deck. The tournament's judging staff determined that the bending was not accidental and that Williams had cheated based on two criteria:

* Each time Williams cut his deck as part of pregame shuffling procedure, a copy of Accumulated Knowledge was on top.
* The judges were able to cut his deck to a copy of Accumulated Knowledge each time they tried.

Williams admitted that the cards were marked but disputed the determination that he cheated. Williams was suspended by the DCI from sanctioned Magic: The Gathering tournaments for one year.[1]

Wow, what a nerd. I don't know which is sadder, the fact that he used to play Magic, that he cheated at Magic, or that you don't like him for cheating at Magic.
