Here's the lowdown. I live in New York City. I am adopting a cat from West Viriginia. I need to get the cat safely from West Virignia to New York city, at a reasonable price, fairly soon, and preferably avoiding all contact with dogs (the cat is afraid of dogs). Any suggestions?

Stick it full of kitty downers, stick it in a crate, stick it on a plane. Be prepared for weeks of kitty anger poop on your bed and in your shoes.

I live halfway in between. I'll drive it for $.75/mile.

What's wrong w/ pet selection in NYC? Or is this Super Kitten?
Maybe a local vet knows a good solution for shipment. |

Put up a listing on uship.com and see if anyone wants to help you out. They have a special category for "pets and livestock".

Actually, I'm pretty sure whoever is shipping the cat needs to get a clean bill of health from a vet before it's transferred so have them talk to that vet. I had a cat shipped to me using one of the airlines' cargo service. Worked great. |
