Default Open letter to POKERSTARS, Lee Jones et al!

The only deposit option you have available now, Epassporte, involves excessive fees. There is an upload fee of 5% for every $100 or part thereof (deposit 150-fee$10), the transaction is recognized as a cash advance by the Credit Card companies thereby resulting in another 3-5% fee and when you withdraw to your bank account anothe 2% is tacked on. I call upon POKERSTARS to immediately absorb all or most of these fees not unlike the absorption of the Neteller INSTACASH fees you were picking up. Without this step I fear that online poker is gone, thank you, Judith Carr.

Hear hear! OP has a point, but making nonsensical demands right now is silly with all the uncertainty out there. We don't know if Epass will be viable two weeks from now.

All I ask is for Stars to keep open communication with its players and hold our hand through the transition. They (Stars) didn't bring this on, so I think its reasonable to give them time to sort this out. If they want to fold U.S. operations, let's get it over with sooner than later instead of this speculation and innuendo. While it clearly sucks, you can't expect the execs to be martyrs to the gestapo.

Sadly, Pokerstars and the other sites still accepting Americans will soon be leaving the US market. This is a fact and those of you in denial need to wake up and smell the coffe. It's all over.

You might want to look up fact in the dictionary. I think you got it wrong. Right now online poker has only taken colateral damage, all DOJ initiatives have been directed at sports gambling. Pokerstars and FullTilt, being private companies that only deal with online poker, which lies in a gray area which the DOJ has not yet entered, have no reason to fear yet. We can still hope and have confidence in the fact that the powers that be for these sites do not panic.

In fact this is quite true. PS, FT and others may have a chance because they stayed away from blackjack, sportsbook and other customer-hasen't-got-a-chance-in-the-world gambling activities. Too many in here are though in denial and need to wake up. The sky may not be falling quite yet, but it's getting damn close.

i guess im in the minority. i expected it to get rocky from the passage of the bill until the regs get put in place. then once the companies adapt online poker will move on. will the games dry up? maybe, maybe not. but it cracks me up all these doom and gloom clowns go off at every single news report.
